Why is there a Lite version?
App stores make installation and updates convenient. They also set rules for how deeply an app can access your device. These limits vary by platform.
Access within clear boundaries
Some stores isolate apps. Files or system areas then require specific permission to access. Lite follows these rules.
Even before login
A computer that remains reachable after restarting needs additional system permissions. DeskRanger plans direct installation for this on supported desktop platforms.
A familiar way to install
With Lite, find DeskRanger in your familiar store. Installation and updates follow the respective distribution channel. Get the standard version directly from us.

Which version suits me?
Choose Lite for a convenient start through your app store. Choose the standard direct version for the broadest feature set and extended access on supported devices.
Do I need Pro for the standard version?
No. Both downloads are free and work with Free. A paid plan changes usage limits or team features, but does not remove store or operating-system restrictions.
Can the two versions connect?
Yes, both are part of DeskRanger. What matters is which features the remote device supports and has enabled. A Lite app can also access a computer running the standard version.
Are all store restrictions the same?
No. They depend on the store, operating system and app package. For example, Microsoft Store supports several package types. The limits above describe our planned DeskRanger Lite configuration.
