Channels and devices
How DeskRanger counts simultaneous connections, and why a running session never ends because of a limit.

Two limits
- Devices in the account: how many computers your account may have. iPhones and iPads don’t count.
- Channels: how many workstations set up connections at the same time. A channel is a device from which at least one session is running. Being signed in takes no channel.
From one channel you can open several devices at once, as many as your plan allows per channel.
| Pricing | Free | Pro | Team |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price | €0 | €2.90 / month €19.90 / year | €9.90 / channel / month €99.90 / channel / year |
| Devices in the account | 10 | 50 | Unlimited |
| Channels (concurrent workstations) | 1 | 1 | As many as you need |
| Devices at once per channel | 1 | 5 | 10 |
How it is counted
- The same person at two computers at the same time needs two channels.
- If you connect through one of your devices on to a third, the whole chain counts as one session.
- If you help someone with a support code, that takes one device of your channel.
The messages
Another of your devices already has a session open. End it there, or use Team when several people or computers work at the same time.
A session is already running from this device. Free allows one device at a time; Pro several.
